Fighting fit for Alder Hey
Comms-care, the Cheshire based IT support partner, will be competing in this year’s leading IT channel event, CRN Fight Night, raising money for the Alder Hey Family House Trust.
Representing Comms-care at the white collar charity boxing event will be Paul Vernon, Account Manager at the IT support firm, who has the challenge of maintaining Comms-care’s undefeated title and making it the 6th win in 5 years at the event where he will be fighting Alex Griffin, from Computer 2000.
On representing Comms-care at the event, Paul said, “I’m so pleased to be taking part in this year’s CRN Fight Night, and extremely proud to be representing Comms-care at the event. I have been training hard to maintain our undefeated title and will give it my all on the night to bring home our 6th winners title, so my opponent better be prepared! “
The CRN Fight Night takes place on 23rd May at London’s leading boxing venue, The Brewery. Money raised on the night from auctions and ticket sales, as well as the fundraising efforts of Paul prior to the event will go to Paul’s chosen charity, Alder Hey Family House Trust, part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities who provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill children staying in hospital.
Paul commented further on his chosen charity for the CRN Fight Night, saying “The Alder Hey Family House Trust is a fantastic charity that provides a sanctuary for families with seriously ill children. It has been a place of comfort for my colleague and friend Jole Fisher and his partner whilst their daughter has been staying in Alder Hey due to suffering from various respiratory and cardiac conditions; we hope the money raised will provide further families with the support and relief it has provided Jole and his partner with.”
Ben Davies, Managing Director at Comms-care commented “Having a contender representing Comms-care at CRN Fight Night for the 5th year in a row is fantastic and is great reflection of fighting determination our team has to make Comms-care the best in the channel. The fact that Paul is representing a charity that has brought great solace for a member of our team is admirable and we all wish him the best of luck in his fundraising and during the fight itself.”
