Comms-care’s Caped Crusader claims Comic Relief
Comms-care, leader in the provision of channel IT support services got into the spirit of fundraising last week in aid of Comic Relief. Everyone in the office made a great effort dressing up in red for the day and we also received a surprise visit from a famous Caped Crusader who claimed to work on Comms-care’s Service Desk.
The theme of the day was to come in to work either dressed in red or a fancy dress costume of your choice. Wearing something ‘red’ proved popular with most whilst a few others did attire fancy dress. An M&S voucher was donated by Comms-care to the person with the most innovative costume. This accolade was awarded to Jamie Fone, Service Desk Analyst, aka ‘Comms-care’s Caped Crusader’.
Following everyone’s efforts the Comms-care team managed to raise £250 for Comic Relief. We are informed from Comic Relief that £150 will support taking a young child and their family out of the slums, re-house them, help the parents find work and go towards the child’s school costs. The remaining £100 could buy 20 mosquito nets to protect children and adults in Africa from Malaria.
Richard Eglon, Marketing Manager at Comms-care said: “Once again the whole Comms-care team really got into the spirit of the day. To be able to ‘do something funny for money’ and raise funds for such a worthy cause as Comic Relief is very rewarding for the whole team. Comms-care gets involved with numerous charity events over the year, all of which are tremendously supported by our dedicated people across the business.”
