Comms-care delivers support to ExCel London as part of major partnership with AMP Networking
Comms-care, the strategic support services partner to the IT channel community, today announced the successful rollout of its support services to ExCel London, the prestigious venue for premier events including the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Comms-care’s involvement with ExCel is part of a long-term partnership agreement with AMP Networking. The Kent-based telecommunications and networking specialist was appointed by ExCeL London to deliver a five year support contract that would cover not just the centre itself, but also the demands of constantly changing exhibitors and their stands.
AMP Networking selected Comms-care to provide manufacturer hardware and software support for the Cisco LAN infrastructure. As a growing company, AMP had particularly valued the flexible financing options provided by Comms-care in the early days of the contract, as well as the wide range of technical support services that it can offer.
“Comms-care has a great deal of knowledge about a range of different technologies so was able to provide an excellent service to ExCeL London,” explained Andrew McCartney, Operations Manager, AMP Networking. “We are impressed with their expertise and service and look forward to collaborating on future projects together.”
The partnership with Comms-care has assisted AMP Networking in being highly responsive and flexible when dealing with ExCeL London and its exhibitors, ensuring that spare parts are always on hand when needed and that cost-savings are incurred.
Ben Davies, Managing Director at Comms-care said: “AMP needed a partner that was not only a skilled IT expert but also one with a trusted, channel-only business model. Comms-care’s excellent track record in delivering third party support and its reputation as a customer focused company made us a natural partner.’
Thanks to Comms-care’s expert knowledge of Cisco equipment, AMP has helped Excel overcome the challenges of running a busy exhibition centre while providing an efficient and cost-effective service.
Further collaborations with the two companies are in the pipeline, including IT service support for the Glow exhibition space at Bluewater shopping centre.
