Respect me; respect the Comms-care family!by Comms-care Colin

Welcome to this bumper issue of my Comms-care blog! I wasn’t able to do my blog last week as I was glamming myself up the event of the year; our annual Employee Excellence awards, which were held last Saturday at the wonderful Stock restaurant in Manchester!
The evening was themed around The Godfather as a reflection of our fantastic surroundings (and it was an excuse to dress fancy with guns!). The “Comms-father awards” evening got underway around 7pm with a drinks reception and arrival photographs, capturing everyone dressed up to the nines! Once everyone had arrived at the venue and had taken their seats, our fantastic host for the evening announced the heads of the Comms-father family on to the stage.
Bruno ‘The Bruiser’ Briscoe, Emilio ‘The Eyes’ Eglon, Donni ‘The Dart’ Darby, Freddi ‘The Fixer’ Forster, Horatio ‘Show me the Money’ Holah, Lightning ‘Fingers’ Lloyd, and ‘The Don’ Davies presented the 12 awards of the evening to our winners, which included Sales Person of the Year, Quotes/Contracts Person of the Year, Marketing/Bids Person of the Year, Finance Person of the Year, Engineer of the Year E0-E3, Engineer of the year E4 upwards, Project Management/Pre-Sales/Service Delivery Administration Person of the Year, Support Services Person of the Year, Managed Services/Service Desk Person of the Year and Employee of the Year. There was also Progress of the Year award, voted for by the Management team and the Outstanding Contribution of the Year was voted for by the Board of Directors.
Congratulations to all of our winners!
After the awards, the tears and the speeches, all of the Comms-father family sat down to a luscious 3 course Italian meal and a few glasses of Pinot Grigio before the fabulous Paul Pashley band set the dancefloor alive with some swing music and the employees twisted and spun the night away. I remember giving in to my painful dancing feet around 3am, but some people were still going strong until the very early hours of the morning. It’s fair to say there were a few sore heads at the breakfast buffet the next morning and an abundance of lost hats, guns, jackets and dignity in the venue the following day.
It was a fantastic evening celebrating all of the hard work our employees have put in over the past year and continue to put in on a daily basis making Comms-care the success it is today.
Speaking of awards, with the industry awards season fast approaching the shortlists have been announced for the majority of the awards and it’s fantastic to hear that Comms-care have been shortlisted for 5 awards already, with more announcements still to come!
