Finally, the weather has subsided, the snow is melting away, and it’s business as usual for everyone once again!
We have expanded our Knowledge Centre offerings with a new Cisco training course, Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security (IINS). The course is focussed on the design, implementation and monitoring of a security policy using Cisco IOS security features and technologies. It is a 5 day course held at our Knowledge Centre, in Cheshire, and is the fourth training course to be added to our Knowledge Centre offerings, and is available to partners, customers and the general public. You can find out more information on our Training Courses on our website.
Our Knowledge Centre is hosting a product familiarisation course on Cisco switches with some customers today, being run by our Cisco certified trainer and Head of ATS, Matt Long. The course has been put together specifically for the requirements of the group, so if you require any specific Cisco training, make sure you get in touch to see what we can do for you!
This week, the date and theme of our annual Employee Excellence Awards has been announced! The Comms Father awards, to be held in April, will be a chance for the Board of Directors to say a big thank you to the employees that “go the extra mile” for our customers and Comms-care. The glamorous event will take place in Manchester and will include some brand new awards for 2013 as well as many surprises on the night. I’m looking forward to it already!!
I’ve been out in the field this week, saving customers from IT emergencies along with our fantastic team of engineers. I started off the week in Sidcup with a customers who had a faulty Draytek router and needed a replacement. The replacement was sent to site to meet me there, from there I configured, installed and tested the new router and also tested the connection with their network provider, which was all ok! I closed the call and headed up to Hertfordshire where a HP Lefthand P4500G2 needed replacing as service at the site had gone down. I collected the new disk drive on my way to site and successfully swapped out the kit on site; the failed drive was collected and returned to our HQ for secure disposal.
On my way up North, I was called to a customers site in Coventry where a new Cisco 887VA Router needed to be installed and configured, which went swimmingly and the call was closed. I then called to a site in Manchester before heading to HQ where a failed PSU needed to be swapped out and collected, this was done super quick and the customer was back up and running in no time! Once I was in HQ, I spent the rest of the week on our Service Desk as they have had another very busy week. It still amazes me how they can be so busy but still the customer satisfaction levels so high and get the job done on time; they really do go the extra mile for each customer!
All of our Sales Team made it back to the snow from the Sales Conference in Sunny South Africa on Monday! I’ll leave you with a picture of the Sales Team sipping champagne on the top of Table Top Mountain!
Have a good weekend!
