Happy Birthday Comms-care!

What a week of celebration it has been for everyone at Comms-care this week.

We began the week with the launch of our 10 year timeline celebrating all of the achievements in the channel, the technology industry and in Comms-care over the past 10 years. We’ve had some fantastic feedback on the timeline already, make sure you check it out and tweet me your feedback and your own memories from the last 10 years in the channel.

The rest of the week has been spent in a tux celebrating the channel’s finest at two of our top industry award ceremonies. On Wednesday, I hit the UK IT Industry awards with two of our Directors and our Head of ATS, Matt Long, who was shortlisted for “IT Service & Support Professional of the year”. Unfortunately Matt was not announced as the winner on the night, he was up against some strong competition from companies such as PepsiCo and Aviva, but nevertheless we are all extremely proud of Matt for being shortlisted for the award out of hundreds of entries.

It was safe to say that the UK IT Industry Awards was a tame affair for me, as I was preparing for the CRN Awards, which were held last night at Battersea Park arena. As always it was a fabulous event for the channel, showcasing the achievement of the channel and the talent that it holds. Ed Byrne was our host for the evening while the champagne flowed and the awards began. It was fantastic to meet some of our partners in the VIP area prior to the awards, ANS Group, Ricoh and Trustmarque all came to say hello before it all got a bit fuzzy from the bubbles!

It was great to see many of our partners nominated, commended and winners in the award categories throughout the night, such a fantastic achievement for all of them!
Once the awards were over, many of us headed over to the casino to try out our lucky hands, I also got to meet many more of the guests and spend some quality time with my dearest colleagues. Head over to twitter to see some of the pictures of the night. I had to use it as a reminder for what happened last night, some of you may find it a useful tool too…

Amongst the partying and celebrating this week, I have managed to fit some real work! I’ve been discussing our Cisco Services Partner Program (CSPP) with a lot of our partners recently and there has been a lot of interest around CSPP. From this I have been putting together information on this service from Comms-care, which should be ready in the next couple of weeks. Be sure to keep an eye out for it!

But, for now, I’m going to try and shake this CRN infused hangover off before my weekend starts.
