Time for a spring clean of your services portfolio?by Comms-care
April 20, 2017
The origins of the annual spring clean vary from the Iranian Norouz, which involves the practice of "khooneh tekouni", or literally "shaking the house&rdquo", to the more prosaic practice of cleaning your home when it’s warm enough to shut down sooty fireplaces and open windows to get rid of all the dust accumulated over winter.
But spring cleaning extends beyond household chores to describe getting things organised and shipshape. As we get used to the brighter mornings and warmer weather, it’s a reminder to channel partners to have a look through their portfolio to check whether it’s still appropriate to their businesses and customers.
One of the biggest areas to look at in the year ahead is the provision of cloud services. New start-up businesses are increasingly by-passing on-premises technology platforms and going straight for a pay as you go, software as a service model to power their businesses.
More established businesses migrating to the cloud need services of a different kind: to keep the lights on day to day systems while they port their chosen services across to the cloud.
Mobility and security are also driving demand from clients for appropriate services that their IT partners can provide via Comms-care. Channel partners can work with Comms-care to provide those services to clients as white-labelled propositions delivered by engineers who have been certified to the highest levels by the world’s leading IT vendors, including Microsoft and Cisco.
This year, we’ve also invested in a comprehensive range of configuration services delivered from a purpose-built facility in a dedicated service centre in Crick near Daventry; which means we can reduce the time needed to provide configured servers, pcs, laptops and tablets to partners’ clients to the minimum, regardless of size, scale and complexity.
This enhanced service sits easily within the broader Comms-care portfolio linking Professional Services through to traditional break-fix maintenance and support to a full Managed Service.
Have you checked your portfolio lately to ensure you can offer the services that your clients want? Are you concerned that you don’t have the skills in-house to stay ahead of the curve as new technologies gather pace? And did you know that Comms-care constantly invests in new knowledge, capabilities and services that our channel partners can leverage to build their own client-facing portfolios?Refreshing the services portfolio that any supplier offers on a regular basis is always a good idea. It provides an excellent opportunity to simplify pricing and the range of services on offer, as well as the chance to plug the gaps with third party services provided by Comms-care.
